Tarbet Isle Loch Lomond monochrome
Tarbet Isle is located on Loch Lomond. Its a little island but the location it finds itself in is one of breathtaking beauty whatever the weather. Here it was a little bit misty (not uncommon on Loch Lomond) Some days the mountains behind are resplendent with the seasons colours and draw the eye away from this bonnie wee isle which isn't too far from Luss or even Glasgow. I found this little snippet on hiddenheritage.org.uk "Tarbet Isle lies in Loch Lomond, within a few hundred metres of the shore at Tarbet. It is also known locally as 'Honeymoon Island', because of the tale that newlyweds were sent to spend a week on the island - if they were still on good terms at the end of the week, it was deemed a sign that the marriage would be successful! "
